13th edition of the IPL 2020 is held in UAE
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to host the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League IPL 2020 due to the postponement of the T20 World Cup in Australia. The BCCI has finalized everything in the IPL, with only the official announcement remaining.
The BCCI is going to host the IPL in the United Arab Emirates as the situation in India is not favourable. The media claims that he has finalized the day. According to the media, the 13th edition of the IPL is going to start on September 19 this year. The final will be held on November 8.
The T20 World Cup has already been postponed due to Corona. Earlier, the Asia Cup was postponed for the same reason. The BCCI is getting a big empty window in the IPL organization after the cancellation of two big events. The 51-day long tournament will feature 60 matches. The matches that have been finalized for hosting are three venues. The venues are Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Although the IPL starts on September 19, the franchises will arrive in the UAE by August 20. Where the teams will have 4 weeks to practice before the start of the tournament. The BCCI will make an official announcement after the meeting next week. Such information was given by a senior official of BCCI.
The Indian cricket team will fly to Australia to play the Test series on November 8 after the final. The BCCI has fixed the IPL schedule keeping in mind that Kohli will get a 14-day quarantine there. The Australia-India Test match will be played on December 3.
