Babar Azam Improves his ICC Test Ranking
Pakistan’s opener Babar Azam improves his ICC test ranking and is now once again in the top five in the Test batsmen’s rankings. Despite losing his place in the middle, Babar has risen to 5 again after the Southampton Test.
Babar Azam batted in one inning and scored 46 runs in the rain-affected Southampton Test. Pakistan’s poster boy has risen to No. 5 by dropping David Warner to 6 by gaining 6 rating points.
Mohammad Rizwan has risen to the best-ranking position of his career. Rizwan is at number 75 with a career-best 415 rating points, 19 steps ahead. Pakistan opener Abid Ali also advanced 19 steps. Abid is now at number 49 with the best rating of his career (518).
Jack Crowley also made a long jump. He has achieved the best rating of his career (369) 15 steps ahead. He is at number 61.
In the bowlers’ rankings, Kiwi pacer Neil Wagner has been relegated to third and Stuart Broad has risen to number two. No. 1 is Pat Cummins as usual. Jimmy Anderson is a joint 14th, two steps ahead. Fast bowler Mohammad Abbas, who took two wickets for Pakistan, is two steps ahead at No. 6.
