BCB appoints Toby Redford as HP Head Coach
Earlier, it was reported that English coach Toby Redford is being appointed as the head coach of the High-Performance HP unit. The Bangladesh Cricket Board BCB has confirmed that they appoints Toby Redford as HP Head Coach for Bangladesh HP Team.
Redford is joining HP as the head coach of the national team, initially considered on a one-year contract. He has served as the batting coach and assistant coach of the West Indies national team for two terms in 2012-13 and 2018-19.
The Level-4 coach of The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) also coached Glamorgan and Middlesex at the county championships. He also has experience working at the Cricket West Indies High-Performance Center.
The 48-year-old Redford is also seen coaching various age-based teams in England, including the director of the England national team and the Middlesex cricket team.
He has represented Middlesex and Sussex County in his playing career. Although he did not wear the England national team jersey. Player careers, like coaching careers, were not as rich. More than 14 first-class matches were not played.
He said that he is looking forward to work with the talented cricketers of Bangladesh as the coach of the High Performance (HP) team. “I am delighted to be the BCB High-Performance Coach,” Redford was quoted as saying by the BCB. There is a lot of young talent in Bangladesh.

Note that Redford’s first job is to visit Sri Lanka in September-October. Where the HP unit will visit Lanka with the national team. The two teams will practice together before the start of the national team series, and will also play a warm-up match.
