BCCI Assured Visas For Pakistan Players For T20 World Cup 2021
The eighth edition of the T20 World Cup is set to take place on Indian soil in October this year. The matches of the tournament will be held in 9 venues in the country. There were complications with Pakistan’s tour of the World Cup in India. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI has assured that it will not be a problem to get visas for any country including Pakistan Players for the T20 Worldcup 2021.
The BCCI has announced that the World Cup final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The other venues for the World Cup are Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Dharamsala, and Lakshman.
BCCI secretary Joy Shah said: “Every venue has been informed about the World Cup and preparations have been started. The Covid-19 situation is being kept in mind and a decision will be taken at the end. It is difficult to say now what the situation will be like in October-November. But we have to start preparations.
Meanwhile, there were rumors of Pakistan not getting a visa due to political conflict. However, the BCCI has confirmed that there will be no problem for any other country, including Pakistan, to get a visa. However, the BCCI has not confirmed whether the general public of Pakistan will get a visa to watch the World Cup.
Joy Shah said, “The visa problem of the Pakistan cricket team has been solved. Getting their visa will not be a problem. However, no final decision has been made on whether Pakistani spectators will be able to cross the border to watch the game.
The last time Pakistan visited India was in 2012. After that, India and Pakistan did not take part in any bilateral series due to political tensions. Only in ICC events are the two eternal rivals of world cricket seen.
