Cricket Australia is set to lose 450 million
Cricket Australia CA is set to lose ৪ 450 million this season due to major problems with its broadcasting rights deal. Channel Seven Network has won the CA’s broadcasting rights deal. Due to the current situation, most of the international and domestic schedules have been postponed.
Even then, CA did not agree to give any concession to Channel Seven. But there are other international cricket prospects, including the Big Bash, next summer. However, Channel Seven Network is not willing to accept these. In such a situation, Channel Seven Network is going to cancel the broadcasting rights agreement with CA.
Therefore, if the broadcasting rights agreement is canceled, CA will suffer a big financial loss. Several local media outlets in Australia are reporting such news. According to them, Seven Network may cancel the agreement with CA. James Warburton, head of the Channel Seven Network, said: “CA is a crumbling company. We are moving towards canceling the agreement considering everything. We have informed them about this.
“Several recent CA decisions have disappointed us. Suddenly they announced that the Big Bash League would be held,” he said. But due to the current situation, many good players will not be able to play in the tournament due to travel ban. A few days ago, CA informed that the top players of Australia will not be in this year’s Big Bash.
