DPL is Impossible to Host this Season
Dhaka Premier League DPL is impossible to host this season and has been closed indefinitely after just one round. As a result, the cricketers who depend on this tournament are in trouble. However, BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon seemed to give them the indication that they are not suddenly overcoming this misery.
There is a risk of coronavirus infection, but the national cricket team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in a few days. Therefore, Papun believes that the clubs will lose interest in organizing DPL. He said this while talking to a TV channel on Tuesday.
Papon said, “It is really difficult to say at this moment whether it is possible to start DPL in this situation. If we could have started a little earlier, it would have been possible. But now it is difficult to organize. If you want to know my personal opinion, I believe it is impossible to restart the DPL now.
‘One of the problems is that if we send our cricketers abroad next month, many DPL clubs will lose interest in re-launching the DPL. So, in this case, we will discuss with the club what they want. “Secondly, we have to see if every player is ready to play,” he added.
