Indo-China relations deteriorated over the border dispute. That’s why the BCCI was forced to end its contract with Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo. In 2016, the BCCI signed a five-year contract with the BCCI worth Rs 2,199 crore. The BCCI received Rs 439.6 crore per event.

According to the agreement between the BCCI and the IPL franchise owners, the franchisees will receive 50 percent of the proceeds from the central contract (broadcast, title, and other sponsors). This means that BCCI will distribute Rs 111 crore, half of the Rs 222 crore, among the franchisees this year.
This year’s IPL will be held in the United Arab Emirates at the Spectator Zero Stadium. The field game will start on September 19. The final of the 13th edition of IPL will be held on November 10. The game will be played in three venues – Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.
