England Announced the T20 Squad for Pakistan Tour 2022 

In September 2022, England will tour will go to Pakistan for seven T20 matches, England Cricket Board has named a 19-man squad for the seven-match T20 International series. Five fresh faces have been added to the roster, while veteran opener Jason Roy has been replaced.

England will go on its first trip to Pakistan in 17 years. Jos Buttler, while recovering from an injury, will travel to Pakistan. Nonetheless, he will miss the first few games of the seven-game series. Moeen Ali will lead the team in the absence of Buttler.

Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow have been rested. Neither is Liam Livingstone, who is injured. However, they remain on the World Cup roster. Ben Duckett and Phil Salt have rejoined the team for the Pakistan trip.

Five uncapped players have been included in England’s tour team for Pakistan. Kent batsman Jordan Cox, Middlesex fast bowler Tom Helm, Surrey right-handed batsman Will Jacks, Warwickshire fast bowler Olly Stone, and Lancashire fast bowler Luke Wood earned their first invitations.

In contrast, Jason Roy was released owing to poor performance. With the exception of his century against the Netherlands at Amstelveen in June, he did not contribute significantly against India and South Africa.

On September 14, the visiting team will visit Pakistan. On September 20, the opening match will be played in Karachi.
