Fakhar Zaman ruled out of the New Zealand tour 2020
Despite being named in the announced squad, Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman ruled out of the New Zealand tour 2020. Fakhar Zaman has been dropped from the New Zealand tour. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed this information in a press release. They said the left-arm batsman, who was suffering from fever, did not recover within the stipulated time.
One of the reasons Fakhar was removed from the New Zealand tour was to prioritize the health of other members of the team. Fakhar went to a hotel in Lahore in isolation after contracting a fever. The medical team of PCB is working on the issue of pride.

PCB team doctor Sohail Saleem said, “On Saturday, the results of Fakhr’s corona test came back negative. But today his fever appeared. Whenever we find out about his physical condition, he is isolated from the rest of the squad from the team hotel. We are regularly checking his health. Hopefully, he will recover soon. However, he has been dropped from the squad for not being fit to travel with the team.
In limited-overs cricket, Fakhar Zaman, a regular member of the Pakistan team, has played 46 ODIs and 40 T20s. The team led by Babar Azam will fly to New Zealand on Monday. The visitors will play 3 Twenty20 and 2 Test matches there.
