Harbhajan Singh is not going to the UAE with the team
According to the Times of India, Harbhajan Singh is not going to UAE with the team due to his mother’s illness. However, the 40-year-old spinner will join in the next two weeks. Although not in the five-day training camp, Shardul Tagore and Jadeja will fly to the UAE on the same plane with the team. Shardul is scheduled to join the team on August 19 and Jadeja on August 20.
Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will not be able to leave for the United Arab Emirates on August 21 with his IPL team Chennai Super Kings. Chipuk has already missed a five-day training camp with pacer Shardul Tagore and all-rounder Jadeja.
This year’s IPL is going to be screened in the United Arab Emirates from September 20. The final of the 53-day tournament will be held on November 10. But the franchises will start flying to the UAE a month in advance to prepare themselves as a team. Chennai Super Kings are scheduled to leave on August 21.
Harbhajan played his last competitive match against Mumbai Indians in the IPL last season. The third-highest wicket-taker in IPL history, the spinner (150 wickets in 180 matches) is one of the tools of Chennai’s bowling attack.
Meanwhile, the Times of India reported that Mahendra Singh Dhoni was happy to see the wickets of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association prepared for training in Chennai. Two separate pitches of red clay and mud clay were made for the Dhoni-led training session in Chennai. After the practice, Dhoni’s Chennai, which has just bid farewell to international cricket, will board a flight to the United Arab Emirates on August 21.
