Coronavirus is spreading more rapidly around the world day by day. That’s why the ICC has an alternative plan for the T20 World Cup to be held on Indian soil this year, keeping in mind the health of cricketers and all those associated with cricket. And so, considering the Corona situation, the ICC wants to consider an alternative venue for the T20 World Cup along with India.

The T20 World Cup is scheduled to start on October 16 this year and end on October 15. A total of 16 countries are going to take part in this 20-over world tournament. But India is no exception to the fears of the coronavirus around the world. With so many cricketers from around the world, it is virtually impossible to hold a tournament like the World Cup. That is why the ICC is thinking of alternative venues outside India.

Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated in India. Due to this, once again a dangerous situation has arisen all over India. Corona infection has been on the rise in the last few days. The World Cricket Council (WCC) has said it will decide on an alternative plan after considering the situation in Corona. Geoff Allardyce, the ICC’s acting chief executive, said the ICC was considering alternative options for the World Twenty20.

‘Yes, we have alternative plans. However, we have not started implementing them at the moment, as we are preparing to host in India as per the schedule. We are working with the BCCI on various aspects of the event, but when the time comes we will move towards alternative planning. However, there is also Plan B. If necessary, we have to go that way.

The T20 World Cup was scheduled to be held in Australia in 2020 and in India in 2021. The 2020 World Cup was postponed due to Corona. Which will be in 2022, in Australia. And the 2021 World Cup is supposed to be in India.
