Indian Prime Minister Modi sent a letter to MS Dhoni

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent a letter to Mahendra Singh MS Dhoni highlighting his contribution and thanking him. Earlier on Saturday, Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket. The former India captain, who has been out of action since the 2019 ODI World Cup, said goodbye to cricket in a hurry.

In response to Modi’s letter, Dhoni thanked him on social media. “An artist, a soldier, and a player only hope for praise,” he wrote on Twitter. They want their hard work, sacrifice to be noticed and appreciated by all. Thank you Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the praise and good wishes.

Dhoni also posted a copy of the letter received from the Prime Minister. In that long letter, Modi wrote to Dhoni: “1.3 billion people are disappointed and saddened by your departure, but everyone will be forever grateful for what you have done for Indian cricket.”
