Joss Butler will miss the last 3rd T20 England v Australia
Batsman Jos Butler has been instrumental in securing England’s T20 series victory with one match in hand against Australia. However, the wicket-keeper batsman has withdrawn from the third and final match due to family reasons.
Butler, who scored 44 with the bat in the first match, was in a more aggressive mood in the second T20 yesterday (September 8). England chased down an unbeaten 6 off 54 balls with a target of 157 for six. However, Joss Butler will miss the 3rd and the last T20 between England v Australia, he left the biological safety zone and joined his family.
As a result, Butler is not returning to Southampton. He will rejoin the team in Manchester on September 6 without playing the last T20. Where all the matches of the three-match ODI series will be held. The ODI series matches will be played on September 11, 13, and 16 respectively.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement on Butler’s departure from the third T20: He will not be available for the last vitality T20 match against Australia in the Ages Bowl on Tuesday (September 6).
Butler will rejoin the bio-protected environment on Thursday if he passes the Corona test. The Royal London ODI series will be played at Old Trafford from Friday (September 11).
