Many Star Cricketers are removing their names from the LPL 2020
The fear is not stopping with the Sri Lankan Premier League LPL 2020. One obstacle after another is being created before the inaugural session is held on the field. This time the league is losing one-star cricketer after another. Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga, Faf du Plessis, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Hafeez, and many other star cricketers are removing their names from the LPL 2020 tournament.

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed is not playing in the tournament. He was supposed to play for the Pakistan-owned franchise Gaul Gladiators. However, the national team has been called up for the tour of New Zealand and the game is no longer being played. The same situation is with Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hafeez.
With the series for the national team, it is only a matter of time before Faf du Plessis is officially removed from the event. Meanwhile, there is uncertainty about Caribbean stars Chris Gayle and Lasith Malinga. English fast bowler Liam Plunkett could also withdraw from the tournament in the end.
Dave Whatmore has stepped down as head coach of the Colombo Kings. Dokti is going to appoint a new coach. Already, stars like Andre Russell and David Miller have dropped their names from this year’s LPL 2020.
