Ollie Pope ruled out for four months due to shoulder injury
England right-handed batsman Ollie Pope has been ruled out for the next four months due to a shoulder injury. The cricketer will have to undergo shoulder surgery due to injury. The pope will have shoulder surgery in the next two weeks.
In the Test against Pakistan in Southampton, Pope made a dive to block the delivery of Stuart Broad. His left shoulder bone was displaced, causing a serious injury.
Doctors advised surgery after a scan on the pope’s shoulder at a London hospital last Wednesday. After the surgery, he will begin his rehabilitation with the medical team at County Club Surrey and England.
Earlier, Pope made his Test debut against India at Lord’s in 2016. Since his debut, he has scored 745 runs in 13 matches for the country, including a century and five half-centuries
