Pakistan got permission from the government to visit England

The Pakistan cricket team will return to the field with a three-match Test and a three-match T20 series against England next time. Permission of Pakistan to visit England was requested three weeks ago for a meeting with the government. Ehsan Mani, president of the Pakistan Cricket Board, met with Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday (June 15). In addition to the issue of permission to tour England, there was a discussion on international and domestic cricket.

At the end of the talks, a source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that a green signal had been received from the government for a tour of England. The PCB has announced a 29-member squad ahead of the England tour. The match schedule will be released soon, the PCB said.

After arriving in England, Pakistan cricketers will have to spend 14 days in quarantine in Birmingham before leaving for Manchester on August 5. Due to which Pakistan will leave for England in the first week of July. Besides, the PCB cancelled the training camp as it could not ensure ‘bio-protection’ system in the country.

The PCB had held talks with the ECB a few days ago about going to England as it could not practice on home soil. According to the Daily Mail, Pakistan could board a flight to England between June 26-29, according to the new date. The Pakistan cricket team will practice there.

The first Test of the series may be in Manchester. The second and third Tests will be in Southampton. The three-match T20 series could take place in Southampton between August 16 and September 1.
