Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani believes that the series between Pakistan Vs India can greatly beneficial in the growth of cricket globally, but unfortunately, the policies of the Indian government make it impossible.
Speaking to Cricbuzz, the PCB boss said the India vs Pakistan Series are the most-watched worldwide, but fans have the opportunity to see archrivals playing against each other only in Asian and international tournaments.
“The Pakistan-India cricket matches are the most-watched cricket matches in the world. However, apart from the ICC and ACC events, we are not playing against each other due to the policy of the Government of India, ”he said.
“It is good for the health of global cricket that we play against each other, however in our planning we do not take into account any bilateral series against India,” he added.
Furthermore, Mani said PCB has always kept the welfare of world cricket a top priority and has had no problems with BCCI.
“PCB has no problems with BCCI. I am not afraid that some countries will put their interests ahead of what is good for the game in general. We all have a duty to care for the global game and the well-being of world cricket and not put our short-term interests first. ”
It should be noted here that Pakistan and India have not played a bilateral series since 2012. Archrivals only meet at ICC and ACC events.
