PCB invites Afghanistan Cricket Board for the first time
Afghanistan cricket team has been invited to visit Pakistan for the first time. The Pakistan Cricket Board PCB invites the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) for the tour. The PCB is trying to host the series next year.
In 2011, the Afghanistan national team visited Pakistan. But no match of the service was given the first-class status. The Afghans played against Pakistan’s second-tier team. Last weekend, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Kabul, Afghanistan.
Then on Tuesday, PCB CEO Wasim Khan informed about this series. “We will try to find out the possible time of the tour,” he said. If not in 2021, then of course there will be plans to organize the series in 2022.
Afghanistan is scheduled to play a three-match ODI series against Pakistan in September 2021 in the ICC’s FTP schedule. Which is again part of the 2023 World Cup Super League. Although Afghanistan is the host team of the series, it is scheduled to be hosted in the United Arab Emirates.
