Sarfaraz is our second choice says Misbah
Neither time nor fate favors Pakistan’s Champions Trophy-winning captain Sarfaraz Ahmed. In the last matches, runs are running dry with his bat. On the other hand, the way Rizwan has settled in the team, the 33-year-old Sarfaraz can see the end of his career.
Misbah-ul-Haq, the head coach and selector of the Pakistan cricket team, also said that Rizwan was his first choice at the moment as a wicket-keeper-batsman. However, Misbah has also left light for Sarfaraz. The head coach also has plans for Sarfaraz.
He lost the captaincy two years after winning the Champions Trophy against British Mulu in 2016. After that, he was dropped from the team. The present is going through coming and going. Finding the lost place, Sarfaraz got a place on the England tour. But in the last match, even though he got a place, he missed the opportunity of stamping.
In an interview with Pakistani media, chief selector Misbah said of Sarfaraz: It is not right to judge someone by the performance of one match. He has worked hard throughout the tour. He has also performed well in unofficial matches. ”
What is the fate of Sarfaraz? Misbah said, “In terms of performance-confidence, our first choice at the moment is Rizwan, needless to say, and Sarfaraz is our second choice. He has performed in the past, can still contribute to the team. Not that I gave him a match chance to drop. He is still in our plans for the future. ”
