Shahid Khan Afridi to lead Galle Gladiators in LPL 2020
The Sri Lankan Premier League is going to start in a few days. Pakistani cricketer Sarfaraz Ahmed was supposed to captain Gaul in the upcoming tournament. However, the Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed withdrawn from LPL 2020 Sri Lankan Premier League due to the series against New Zealand. Shahid Khan Afridi will lead the Galle Gladiators in the upcoming LPL 2020 tournament.
The franchise has announced Shahid Afridi as the captain of the team after Sarfaraz withdrew from the tournament. At the same time, Vanuka Rajapaksa has been announced as the co-captain of the team.

Gaul Gladiators confirmed the matter in a statement on Saturday (November 21).
” Shahid Afridi is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka on November 23,” the statement said. He will lead the team from the first match on November 28 after completing the three-day quarantine. ”
Meanwhile, another Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal has also been ruled out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury. He has previously missed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy due to injury.
The 23-match tournament will be played from November 26. The tournament will be screened on December 16.
