Pakistani starting hitter Shan Masood said England’s bowling attack would be a real threat to them in the next series of tests, especially James Anderson, one of their front-line pacemakers.
“We all know how good Anderson is and all his records. Obviously, he is a threat to us, in fact, the entire bowling attack in England, “Masood said as he spoke to Pakistani journalists via video link.
“The last time I faced Anderson in England was in 2016 and I know I wasn’t too good against him, but the time has changed now. Many things have changed in the last four years, I have improved and I hope to face it once again, ”added Masood while answering a question.

The left-handed hitter said the team is more focused on things under its control rather than focusing on the strengths of the opposition. “Look, we got off to a good start here with two weeks of helpful training sessions. We still have three weeks before facing England in the first test, I think there is enough time to prepare strongly for the challenge, “he said.
“Obviously, they will have an additional advantage of the conditions of the home, in addition to being in contact after playing three tests against the Antilles.” But, as I said, our focus will be completely on what we can do to overcome them, “he added when asked.
Speaking about his personal expectations for this tour, Masood said that, as a starter, he will try to provide a solid start for his team. “A starter’s job is to score runs and I always try to do my job. I am practising a lot with Younis Bhai and trying to get rid of my weaknesses, “he concluded.
It should be noted here that Pakistan will play three games in the test series against England starting on August 5. And according to Shan Masood England’s bowling attack would be a real threat in the upcoming test series.
