Sohail Tanvir Tested Corona Positive Before the Start of LPL 2020
Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir and Canadian batsman Ravindrapal Singh have tested positive in the Corona Test before the start of the Sri Lankan Premier League LPL 2020. The first edition of the LPL is going to start on November 26, before the news has made the organizers worried.
Sohail Tanvir, part of the Candy Taskers, and Ravindrapal Singh, part of the Colombo Kings, corona test positive, ESPNcricinfo reported on Friday. They were tested after arriving in Sri Lanka to play in the LPL.
Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz and England’s Liam Plunkett have been ruled out of the tournament and Sohail Tanvir has been named in the squad. Along with Ravindrapal Singh, Sohail Tanvir has also been dropped for at least two weeks.
Now Candy Taskers is looking for a replacement for Tanvir. “We need to talk to the franchise owner, and find someone to replace Tanvir,” said Tasker’s coach Hasan Tillakaratne.
Cricketers like Lasith Malinga and Chris Gayle have said that they will not play in this tournament even if they are supposed to. Former Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan will play in this tournament.
