Sourav Ganguly, has tested positive for corona

Snehashis Ganguly, the elder brother of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) secretary and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, has tested positive for corona. Corona was diagnosed with Snehashis on Wednesday (July 15th) after being tested in a private laboratory in Kolkata.

The laboratory suggested re-sampling to ensure confirmation. Snehashis’s corona is putting the whole family at risk, including Sourav Ganguly, who is tested positive. As a result, the rest of the family will have to live in their own isolation.

It is learned that all the family members celebrated Sourav’s birthday on July 8. According to the latest health regulations, 10 days of isolation is required. Meanwhile, the BCCI’s Apex Council has a meeting on Friday (July 17). Abhishek Dalmia and Sourav Ganguly are not undergoing the corona test right now as the symptoms must be visible for the corona test as per protocol.

Snehashis, 52, played first-class cricket despite not getting a chance to play for the Indian national team. He has scored 2534 runs in 59 first-class matches, while 265 runs have come from his bat in 18 List ‘A’ matches.

Although Corona proved positive, the CAB secretary is in good physical condition. He is currently admitted to City Hospital. Last month, there were rumors that his corona was positive. The rumors started when news broke that his estranged wife and his mother Corona were positive. However, on June 20, he said in a statement that he was fine and the news published about him was false.
