The Women’s T20 World Cup will not be held in South Africa in November 2022. Women’s T20 World Cup 2022 has been postponed for three months and will now be held in 2023. According to the new schedule, the competition will be held in February 2023. The International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Thursday (November 19).

In 2022, there will be two major multinational tournaments for girls – the ODI World Cup in New Zealand and the Commonwealth Games in England. Although there are two tournaments in the same year, there is no big event for girls in 2023.

The ICC said in a statement that there were no major events for girls in 2023. The T20 World Cup has been postponed so that the girls can better prepare for the T20 World Cup and continue the excitement of girls’ global cricket in 2023.

Earlier, the Women’s ODI World Cup was postponed for a year last August. Which was scheduled to take place in New Zealand in February-March 2021. However, it was taken in 2022 due to coronavirus.
